Colleen Keegan, AP-BC,CDP, CADDCT
Colleen Keegan has worked in the activity and senior care field for 15 years in various settings including adult day centers, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities.
Colleen received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is a board-certified activity professional through NAAPCC and is CDP certified through NCCDP. Colleen is certified as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT) through NCCDP.
Colleen is actively involved in her state activity association and is currently serving her third year as President. She previously served one year as Vice President and four years as Public Relations chair. Colleen currently serves as the International Liaison for the National Association of Activity Professionals and previously served four years as NAAP’s Membership Trustee.
Colleen is passionate in providing individuals diagnosed with memory impairment with meaningful opportunities for engagement, as well as knowledge and support for their family and caregivers. Colleen’s great grandmother and grandfather were both diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and eventually moved into Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities. Colleen has lived the roles of educator, caregiver, staff member, friend, and family member to her loved ones, family members, and hundreds of unique and wonderful individuals over the past 15 years.
